Missing Rabbit Skin Case Solved; Policeman Involved:

By Casey Weitz
Mrs. Sinnett may finally put to an end where her rabbit skins have been disappearing to from her cellars in Southwark.  George Wild, a policeman of the M Division, was found guilty of stealing Mrs. Sinnett’s rabbit skins right out from under her own nose.
Officer Wild was chosen to protect the Sinnett’s cellar and prevent any future break-ins. Turns out, he was the one stealing the skins all along.  While left alone on his shift, Wild schemed the Sinnetts’ into thinking that robbers had taken the skins to a nearby graveyard.  However, Mrs. Sinnett’s son did not believe a word Wild had claimed since Wild and he were on “watch” the entire night. Later, a bag of five skins were found in Officer Wild’s yard where Wild himself had placed them.
The policeman was found guilty and sentenced to six months in prison including hard labor.
